The fashion world has lost a brilliant avant-garde artist, but Alexander McQueen’s legacy will live on through new Creative Director, Sarah Burton.
Burton has lent her creative expertise to the London-Based fashion house since 1996. She spent the last 10 years as the head of womenswear and was recently credited with completing McQeen’s F/W 2010 collection after his death.

The 2010 MTV Movie Awards never fail when it comes to eliciting crowd wide “oh’s” and “ah’s”. Interestingly (or not) enough, I’d have to say the ladies were the definite show stoppers this time around. From Scarlett Johansson and Sandra Bullock’s impromptu lip lock to Katy Perry’s barely there sequin number “matched” with a brighter than life blue wig, these women stopped at nothing.

Well, my annual trip up to the Washington/Oregon boarder to the Gorge Amphitheater for the Sasquatch Music Festival was once again a success. My love for live music is undoubtedly the main draw to this Memorial Day Long Weekend of music mayhem, but, I must admit, the people watching ain’t bad either. From the rural and relaxed life of a paint salesman in Mount Prospect, Illinois to being shocked into instant American Idol fame, Lee DeWyze must be on top of the world. Sure, not all of Lee’s performances were “top notch” as the recently retired and brutally honest American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, would say. But, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what the judges said, thought, or joked with Ryan Seacrest, because the determining factor was us… the American public!

After two long years of laying low, the spectacular posse of four, Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes, are finally returning to the New York limelight in tomorrow’s long-awaited feature film debut of Sex and The City 2! Sure, their load may have gotten heavier with husbands and babies, but, as Samantha puts it… “Men, babies… it doesn’t matter, we’re soul mates forever”.

Justin Timberlake has gone from Mouseketeer, to front man (and teen girl crush of many) of N’Sync, to forging a major solo career earning him 6 Grammy awards in the process. Oh, and did we mention he’s currently dating Mary Camden from that 90’s hit show, 7th Heaven? Yeah, we know… amazing show.

Remember back to when you were in Grade 1. You were sitting cross-legged (like a good kid should) on that brown astro-turf of a carpet, while Billy “I like to pick my nose with my tongue” Cooke was sprawled across the floor vying for your teacher, Ms. Silver’s, attention. Thankfully it was story time, and Ms. Silver was able to calm that pesky Billy down with a story about individuality… a story about how we’re all like individual little snowflakes.
