Have you ever seen someone from across the room whose eyes were so brilliant, they stopped you in your tracks? Or passed someone on the street and felt the dying urge to tell them how nice their eyes are?

The Bachelor’s Season 14 man of the moment, Jake, may have been given the self proclaimed title of Mr. Nice Guy, but his rough and tough style choices lend me to believe he’s got a hard side. I mean, when you mix vintage flannel shirts, Harley Davidson motorcycles and classic aviator sunglasses, you’re not doing much in support of the “nice guy” persona.

Ask yourself, what does it cost today to build a mega brand?
We can all imagine the enormous costs it took to build the Coke brand and how much it’s worth today… but that’s an old-school brand. I’m talking about new-school brands that aren’t afraid to try new things and who have fresh and unique outlooks, like Google and Facebook. How much did it cost to build those brands?

The time is upon us. Yes. That’s right. It’s American Idol Season 9 time baby! What better way to spend two nights out of your week than by watching people sing their hearts out on National TV. Okay, it’s true, they may not be able to carry a tune, or even be able to remember the words to the song for that matter, but man oh man does it make for good TV. And by siphoning through these disasters and dishing out some hard truths, a few budding stars are always found.

A year ago, as we set our priorities for 2009, we were concerned about the economy. Doom and gloom were all around us and it was challenging to predict what the year would hold.

As I continue to participate in building the world’s largest optical store, I’m constantly reading emails from customers on how we can improve their online shopping experience. This was the process we took in developing LensWay, and as I look at other online glasses stores, I realize how easily customers can be tricked or mislead along the way.

Whoever started the whole “glasses are for nerds” and the “how ya doen four eyes?!” gang is about to get a rude awakening. Why? Because it only took me a couple of minutes to come up with 10 undoubtedly obvious reasons why having four eyes is sexier than two. Drumroll please…
