21 Contact Lens “No No’s”

1. Don’t switch the brand of contact lenses you wear without asking your Eye Care Practitioner
2. Never wear your friends contacts because you can’t find yours
3. Never wear your contacts past their replacement date
4. Don’t insert contacts without washing your hands or if you have lotion on your hands
5. Never wear contacts lenses swimming — unless you have protective swimming goggles!
6. Don’t store your contacts in a container that isn’t an actual lens case
7. Don’t keep your contact lenses in a lens case that’s older than 3 months
8. Never wear contacts if your allergies are acting up — opt for your eyeglasses!
9. Don’t miss your annual eye appointment and decide to simply stick with your current Rx
10. Never apply makeup after you’ve inserted your contacts — always apply before!
11. Don’t use cleaning and disinfecting solution that is past it’s due date
12. Never wear contact lenses in smokey or vaporous environments — your lenses may become contaminated
13. Never wear contacts if you have an eye infection or are using certain eye medications — best to double check with your Eye Care Practitioner first
14. Don’t sleep in your contact lenses unless directed by your Eye Care Practitioner
15. Don’t use water for cleaning your lenses — always use a multi-purpose solution!
16. Don’t switch the type of solution you use without asking your Eye Care Practitioner
17. Never wet your lenses with saliva — use only saline solution and approved soft lens cleaning solutions
18. Never reuse disinfecting solution — always discard and replace with new solution each time lenses are stored
19. Don’t use commercial eye drops, like Visine, with your contact lenses — they can ruin your lenses
20. Never self prescribe your Rx if you think your prescription has changed — that’s what Eye Care Practitioners are for!
21. Never, ever, ever overpay for your contact lenses — shop online!!

Frank, you almost have it right, with one little mistake, let me explain. As you have a more square face shape, you’ve got it right to pick frames that have more rounded edges. Where you’ve gone wrong though is with the actual size of the frames. They’re too small! You need frames that extend fully across your face to balance out that oh so chizzled jawline – all of the frames above will do just the trick. Trust me… make this one little change and who knows, maybe my premonition for tonight’s outcome will be different?
