All of us here at LensWay.com gladly welcome the American fashion masterminds behind the Tommy Hilfiger, Tom Ford and Kenneth Cole eyewear collections. With all of their designs showing glimpses of vintage Americana, they’ve managed to keep each and every pair unique with modern twists. And that’s why we love them!

It’s becoming more and more apparent that there’s a Geek with some Chic inside all of us. Sure, maybe it’s been hiding longer for some than for others. And there’s a chance this little Geek persona is still shaking in it’s boots and won’t surface for you… well… ever.

The fashion world has lost a brilliant avant-garde artist, but Alexander McQueen’s legacy will live on through new Creative Director, Sarah Burton.
Burton has lent her creative expertise to the London-Based fashion house since 1996. She spent the last 10 years as the head of womenswear and was recently credited with completing McQeen’s F/W 2010 collection after his death.

Children were the muse for many Spring 2010 collections. With the same idea in mind, designers chose to distinguish their collections from others by pulling inspiration from the different decades. Alexander Wang starts us off with the most classic of apparel styles; 1940’s paperboy.

Last Spring, Missoni wowed us with stunning yellow silks in bold patterns (below left). For spring 2010, the Italian Fashion House used the same design concept of pattern and color, but did it in a more subdued, romantic way (below right). Sheer, kaleidoscopic patterns replaced large bold shapes, while soft breezy yellows replaced vibrant hues. The 2010 collection had the same cheerful effect, but was achieved in a more simplistic way.

My anticipation for catching the best and worst Oscar dresses slowly began to subside once the red carpet cameras were rolling and Ryan Seacrest was poised for his up close and personal interviews with each and every actress.
Now, I know I’m not the only one that gets giddy for these awards. So, I figured why not relive last nights fashion wonders (and disasters)
